Mnemonic Blooms is a painted preservation of a demolished 17th century house, reconstructed from memory. It exists as an empty void; object and building have been removed from our physical world. The painting serves as an investigation of mystery, conjuring up the past to connect it with the present. The ruin is exorcised in reality, the ghosts of its past slowly decaying through memory. Meanwhile, beasts, creatures, blotches and vegetation snake amongst its spectral remembrance; meandering and flourishing. It is where the wild things bloom.
